It is only $50, ensures your spot in the class, and counts towards your tuition.  The balance is not due until the first day of class.  (see below)

About the Money...

YAL aims to provide ALL students an opportunity to attend camp regardless of financial circumstances.

We want every student interested in participating to enroll for a course, regardless of financial hardship.  Many of our families have set up payment plans, and we are happy to make taking a course possible.  There are also scholarships available on a limited scale, though we would love to offer more!

Unless prior arrangements are made, tuition balance is due no later than the end of the student’s first day of camp.

Other Things to Know:

Class size is limited to 14 students per course to ensure the maximum amount of on-stage time for our students.  Small class size allows students to practice their work in front of the group, live and out loud.

To ensure your place in the YOUNG ARTISTS LAB (YAL) summer program, applicants must submit an application form, along with a $50 deposit.  Placement is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Applicants who sign up prior to June 16th will save $25 off published lab fees, so sign up early! 

All applications must be received by July 19th.  

Checks should be made payable to "YOUNG ARTISTS LAB".

Some camps have field trips or transportation costs included in the tuition, while other trips require additional fees.  Check with your workshop diescriptions for more details. 

“Audience Day” activity will require a parent signature authorizing travel and participation in the event.  Failure to turn in “Audience Day” permission slips will exclude the student from participation.  YAL will not be held responsible for material seen or heard during Audience Day events, but YAL will provide families with information about movies, plays, or performances at least 48 hours in advance of their presentation.  All material is fuel for discussion, but participation is left up to parental discretion.   

 
Lab students are not currently covered under a YAL insurance plan. Families are urged to provide us with emergency contact information or pertinent medical conditions prior to participation.  All students applying to the Lab program agree to abide by the codes of conduct outlined on the first day of class.   Failure to adhere to these rules will result in withdrawal from the program. 

YAL is designed to address individual performer’s strengths and weaknesses in a positive environment, and all participants are expected to participate in each workshop in a manner conducive to maintaining that environment of safety and support.  Attentive listening is expected when students are off stage as well as on stage.  Failure to participate in this group dynamic will result in a parent/faculty/student conference.  Failure to respond to this conference may result in withdrawal from the program.
